What Is A Hybrid Mattress?
With advanced multilayer construction, hybrid mattresses combine contouring comfort layers with ultra-supportive coils underneath.
Hybrid mattresses offer the best of both worlds. They have the spine-aligning support, strength, and stability of innerspring mattresses but are far more comfortable thanks to their cushioning top layers. Like all-foam and latex mattresses, hybrids provide responsive contouring and pressure relief, but the coils underneath add the structure and edge support many foam mattresses lack. These highly versatile mattresses suit all sleep positions and physiques and offer better durability than any other mattress type.
Nolah's hybrid mattresses feature premium comfort layers crafted with our advanced polyfoams or natural latex. For example, the luxury Nolah Evolution—our best-selling mattress—has a plush quilted Euro topper followed by zoned AirFoam™ and two more layers of high-resilience foam. These upper comfort layers bring gentle contouring and full-body pressure relief to our hybrid mattresses.
Next, our hybrid mattresses feature a coil core. This layer deepens the overall support of the mattress, enhances responsiveness, and adds durability. Coil systems also have a breathable structure, elevating our hybrid mattresses' cooling qualities.
Nolah exclusively uses individually-wrapped coils for our hybrid mattresses, which offer greater flexibility than traditional innerspring systems. Select hybrid models also feature our Tri-Zone™ technology. Our HDMax™ Tri-Zone™ coils are divided into three zones for targeted support and heightened pressure relief where you need it most.
These upper comfort layers bring gentle contouring and full-body pressure relief to our hybrid mattresses. And, unlike memory foam, they're highly breathable and free from heat-trapping chemicals, sleeping cool year-round.
Next, Nolah's hybrid mattresses have our HDMax™ Tri-Zone™ support system. This 8-inch coil layer deepens the overall support of the mattress, enhances responsiveness, and adds durability. Our coils are individually wrapped, offering greater flexibility than traditional innerspring systems. They're also divided into three zones for targeted support and even more pressure relief. Coil systems have a breathable structure, elevating our hybrid mattresses' cooling qualities.
Hybrid Mattress Pros and Cons
Pro 1
Cushioning Comfort with Deep Support: Hybrid mattresses pair supportive coils with contouring upper layers that come in a wide range of firmness levels for personalized comfort.
Pro 2
Responsive Design: Individually-wrapped coils enhance the responsiveness of the pressure-relieving foam or latex on top.
Pro 3
Breathable Build: Air flows freely through the coil layer, keeping the mattress cool and fresh.
Pro 4
Maximum Durability: Thick, multilayer hybrid mattresses outlast all-foam and innerspring models.
Con 1
More Materials = Higher Cost: Hybrid mattresses pack in a lot of layers, using more materials than all-foam options. As a result, they start at a higher price range.
Con 2
Weight: Multilayer hybrid mattresses are heavier than their all-foam counterparts, making them a bit more difficult to set up and move. So, we added handles to our hybrid mattresses for your convenience.
