While we understand the desire to stay in bed where it’s comfortable, we firmly believe that a good morning routine that gets you up and moving to the right beat will improve your entire day, no matter what you have on the agenda. Good health habits take about a month of concentrated dedication to make into a routine.
Your body just recuperated all night without getting hydrated; give yourself a refreshing start to the day by drinking one large cup of water before you do anything else.
Water energizes your brain and gets it moving. Now it’s time to awaken your body physically. Stretching or exercising lightly helps wake you up. It’s a great time to walk your dog or do a quick bout of pushups. Some people like to do a full exercise routine; this is a great option too.
Head to the bathroom to brush your teeth and take a shower. You probably have a good idea of your own bathroom routine to keep good hygiene.
A hearty breakfast is the best thing you can do for yourself in the morning. Alongside drinking water, your body needs protein to convert into energy and get your day started on the right foot. Do not skip breakfast. Your body needs energy to be productive.
Take the time in the morning to check on goals. What must you get done today?
A good day full of healthy habits starts with transitioning from your morning routine into your day by starting with the most important thing to accomplish that day. Your brain and body are freshly energized and ready for tough tasks. Go get ‘em!
